About
Dale Cardwell & Clark Howard
Dale Cardwell made a name for himself getting to the bottom of some of Georgia’s most controversial issues and busting formerly unaccountable politicians. But that’s not what brought Dale to TV screens across the Peach State. Dale was recruited by WSB in 1995 to work side by side with consumer legend Clark Howard.
Clark had reached a point in his professional career (radio, TV and print) that required him to bring on a trusted, reputable investigator to help him get to the bottom of consumer challenges. Dale and Clark met on a cold, rainy November day in 1995 and instantly hit it off. Dale was impressed by Clark’s sincerity, humility, and obvious desire to help people make good decisions. Clark was impressed with Dale’s honesty, investigative skill set, and desire to tell the truth. From 1995 to 1999, Clark and Dale worked side by side to form the number one consumer team in the nation, and helped countless people, “save more, spend less, and keep from getting ripped off.”
How are Clark and Dale different?
Clark is the first to tell you he’s “cheap.” He’ll walk a mile to save a penny. Dale is pretty cheap himself (as in always driving a used car) but he’s more about value. Dale puts it like this: “As I developed TrustDale, I realized the cheapest was almost never the best, and that what people really need is a product or a service that lasts, that delivers real value, and that is backed up by the company that sold it.”
Clark wants to teach you to be a good decision maker when it comes to buying products and services. That includes everything from financial services to shampoo. Dale understands that you don’t always have time to do the research required before making important purchases. Dale wanted to give you an additional option when making tough buying decisions that could take the “pain in the neck” factor out of your process.
Today, you can catch both Dale and Clark on WSB. Clark hosts the Clark Howard Show every afternoon between 1:00 and 4:00, while Dale hosts the “Investigative Minute,” brought to you by his certified TrustDale partners. You can also read and listen to Dale’s advice right here, on the pages of TrustDale.com!
